Global Health Leadership Office

This office provides opportunities for students to acquire a global perspective on matters of health and nursing and to help faculty achieve international outreach and collaboration

The GHLO promotes an international approach that emphasizes multidisciplinary collaborations relevant to Primary Health Care (PHC) and international health in the U.S and abroad. Guided by the philosophy that research and PHC programs at the local level are critical components of global healthcare efforts, the GHLO provides opportunities for nurses of all countries to improve the quality of nursing and healthcare, often by assuming positions of leadership in education, practice, research and policy.

The GHLO functions as a liaison between students and faculty members from other administrative units; provides health-related linkages to educational institutions and agencies internationally and in the U.S.; and serves as a resource for the College of Nursing’s international students and scholars.
