About
I received my ADN from Parkland College in 1996 and went straight to work in the Critical Care Unit at what was then Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. I worked there for 20 years as a staff nurse and charge nurse. I sat on many committees and helped develop the stroke program when we became a certified stroke center. I transitioned from bedside nursing to education and was hired full time at UIC-Urbana in 2016. I completed my BSN and MSN/Ed through Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL and am currently in the DNP program through UIC.
