The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at UIC Nursing offers 12 different DNP focus areas for students to explore. This specialty forum is designed to provide more insight into each specialty area in terms of:
- Work environment
- Career outlook/progression
- Main job responsibilities
There will be an opportunity to ask questions to all the specialty directors to assist you in choosing the appropriate specialty for your desired career goals.
Specialty Areas: Adult- Gerontology Acute Care, Adult- Gerontology Primary Care, Family Nurse, Neonatal, Nurse Midwifery, Nurse Midwifery/Women’s Health, Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Primary Care, Psychiatric Mental Health, and Women’s Health.
