Download iCal FileRenowned nurse historian Claire Chatterton, of The Open University, discusses her research regarding nursing care of patients experiencing "shellshock" during and following World War I.
Chatterton has worked for The Open University in England since 2003, initially as an associate lecturer and program tutor (nursing) and more recently as a staff tutor based in North West England. She has worked in a variety of practice settings as a general nurse and as a mental health nurse.
Her research interests lie in the history of nursing and mental health care, and she is a past chair of the Royal College of Nursing's History of Nursing Society.
This event is hosted by the Midwest Nursing History Research Center.
