Purpose:

Inform health care providers about the main health issues, barriers to health care, and current health care system within both an adult and juvenile
correctional setting and during post-release transition.

Target Audience: Staff Nurses, APRNs, other health care professionals

Objectives:

  1. Describe systems science role in patient safety efforts
  2. Define key team science terms, including communication and psychological safety
  3. Identify high quality communication practices
  4. Describe strategies to improve team-based communication that will be incorporated into practice.
