Nurse-Led Clinic

Free health care where it’s needed most

Since the summer of 2024, UIC Nursing began operating UI Health Mobile Health & Wellness Services, a primary health care clinic located in a 38-foot RV. It’s a clinic on wheels.

Currently serving Peoria and Tazewell counties in central Illinois, we deliver confidential, respectful and non-judgmental health care to rural and urban communities. Services are provided by compassionate, highly trained nurse practitioners and nurse-midwives from the UIC College of Nursing.

Our services include:

  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • Cholesterol Screening
  • Blood Sugar Screening
  • Hemoglobin A1C Screening
  • Strep Testing & Treatment
  • STI Testing & Treatment
  • Flu and COVID Testing & Treatment

The program was made possible by a $3.1 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to fund ENRICH (Enhancing Nursing Education and Retention by Initiation of Care delivered by Mobile Health Units).
