Springfield director, students featured in State Journal-Register

"We're on the cutting edge of what's going on in nursing and in healthcare," Springfield director, Cynthia Reese, tells reporters in an article published last week in the State Journal-Register. The article points out that 2018 will mark the first graduating class for this newest of five regional campuses at UIC's College of Nursing. The article also discusses the advantages of a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), the increase of student size in Springfield going forward, as well as the thoughts and goals of the students themselves. "We'll be great leaders," one of the students concludes.

The complete article by Dean Olsen, "New UIS-UIC nursing program difficult but high-quality, students say", is available online.
