Ivy Akpotu is a dedicated nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UIC and a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. She is passionate about promoting wellness among patients with chronic illness. Her current research interests include using nutrition to reduce pain for patients with sickle cell disease. Looking ahead, she hopes to obtain her doctorate degree, pursue a post-doc opportunity, and lead research that empowers both patients and health care providers.
