Thitinan Duangjina is an instructor in the department of medical nursing at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. As a PhD student at UIC College of Nursing, where she is expected to graduate in 2025, her research focuses on caregiver burden, resilience and health disparities among family caregivers of older adults with dementia, particularly in Asian contexts.
Thitinan is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the UIC Nursing Dean’s Award for Excellence in Research. She has presented her work at leading conferences such as the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Annual Scientific Meeting. She has published in high-impact nursing journals such as the Journal of Advanced Nursing, as well as Advance in Nursing Science.
Beyond research, she has contributed to curriculum development and community-based caregiver training. She also serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. Thitinan is deeply committed to advancing culturally sensitive approaches to caregiving and improving the quality of life for aging populations through research and teaching.
Thitinan Duangjina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with second-class honors in 2013 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2017, both from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She is supported in her PhD studies by an academic scholarship from Chiang Mai University (2021–2025).
