Eric Peprah Osei earned induction into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2023. He hails from Ghana, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with First Class Honors from the University of Cape Coast. His academic journey is driven by a deep commitment to addressing health disparities, particularly among underserved and minority youth living with chronic conditions.

Eric’s research focuses on youth-onset Type 2 diabetes, with a specific interest in self-management behaviors, cardiovascular complications and digital health literacy interventions.

With a background in clinical practice, behavioral health and public health outreach, Eric is passionate about improving diabetes outcomes and quality of life through evidence-based, culturally responsive interventions. His long-term goal is to become a nurse scientist and global health leader contributing to policy development and the design of scalable interventions to reduce chronic disease burdens in vulnerable populations worldwide.
