Peggi White has been a nurse for over 35 years. She graduated with a BSN from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1982. As a RN, she practiced in Hospital Oncology, General ICU and Patient Advisory.
In 1989, she earned a MSN in Public Health Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from the UIC-Peoria campus. She practiced as a FNP for 30 years at Carle Physician Group in Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry with inpatient, hospital outpatient and clinic outpatient experience. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and for 12 years was a member of the mental health team for the UIUC Fighting Illini and provided therapy services to athletes of all teams.
Currently, Peggi functions as the Simulation Lab Coordinator at the University of Illinois - Chicago College of Nursing, Urbana campus.
She is married and has three grown children and one grandchild.
Outside of the educational system, Peggi maintains a Monarch habitat and participates in the University of Kansas Monarch Watch tagging program. She is an avid runner and participates in local 5K’s and trail runs.

Peggi provides mental health services, therapeutic counseling and substance use disorder evaluations through Kleppin and Associates Therapy Practice in Champaign, Illinois.
