Abstract

This set of tasks focuses on how cadets at the National Guard Youth Challenge (ChalleNGe) program develop planning, goal-setting, and decision-making skills. One primary tool in this process is the Post-Residential Action Plan (P-RAP). In this set of tasks, we will document the difference(s) in how sites use the P-RAP; we will also summarize the literature on goal-setting, decision-making, and planning among adolescents. We will focus on literature that includes information about at-risk adolescents, but will also include relevant information from the literature on other populations. Finally, we will produce a set of recommendations including a plan for follow-on analyses (if warranted).
