Program Description:
Critical care practice and related pharmacotherapy encompasses a wide variety of disease states. New developments challenge the practitioner to stay abreast of emerging therapies and novel treatment strategies. This conference will focus on clinical controversies or novel therapies across the gamut of critical care medicine. Joe Mull, M.Ed, CSP, will deliver the keynote session entitled, “No More Team Drama: Ending the Gossip, Cliques, and Other Crap that Damage Workplace Teams.” Clinical topics will highlight “COVID – What in the world just happened,” “COVID-19 in Children – Lessons from the ED and PICU,” “Clinical Pearls of Targeted Temperature Management after Cardiac Arrest,” “Practice Adaptation,” “Antithrombotic Therapy in the Era of TAVR, Watchman, HM 3,” “Trauma – TEG, Anti-Fibrinolytics, Key Considerations,” and “Controversies in Management of Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients with CDH,” among others topics.

Registration fee includes up to 10.0 contact hours (1.0 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credits, or up to 10.0 contact hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ continuing medical education for the live/homestudy program. Nurses can earn up to 5.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education credits for the live program. Advanced practice nurses may count a total of 4.0 contact hours (Adult Track) or 5.0 contact hours (Pediatric Track) for the pharmacotherapeutic educational requirement. All tracks will be available for participants as a future homestudies and participants can earn up to a total of 10 credit hours (live + homestudy) for CE and CME credit only. You will receive a free access code for each session. If you received CE or CME for the live program, you cannot receive CE/CME credit for the same sessions as a homestudy. Handouts will be provided electronically for attendees to download and print before the conference.
