Accreditation

The University of Illinois at Chicago is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, master’s degree in nursing, and doctor of nursing practice degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (www.ccneaccreditation.org).

The college's baccalaureate and graduate-entry programs are also approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. The Nurse-Midwifery program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education through January 2022.

The College of Nursing holds membership in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The UIC College of Nursing is preparing for an on-site evaluation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) as an essential step in earning reaccreditation for our baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program, doctor of nursing practice (DNP) program, and post-DNP (APRN) certificate program. The site visit will take place on Feb. 20-22, 2019.

Written, third-party comments concerning our programs’ qualifications for accreditation will be accepted by CCNE until Jan. 30, 2019. Please submit comments directly to:
