Purpose:
Provide an overview of the endocannabinoid system and the major therapeutic compounds in the cannabis plant, as well as a discussion on working with patients to use medical cannabis safely and effectively.

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the endocannabinoid system and identify its primary function.
- Compare methods of administration for cannabis based on onset, duration, and potential adverse effects.
- Indicate patient groups who should use cannabis with increased caution or avoid cannabis altogether.

RNs, APRNs, LPNs, Nursing Students
