Purpose:
Raise awareness about moral distress and the role of ethics and palliative care consultations to minimize moral distress
Target Audience:
Staff Nurses, APRNs, and other healthcare professionals
Objectives:
- Identify moral distress, moral residue and moral injury;
- Give examples of how moral distress impacts healthcare; and
- Examine the role ethics consultation has in mitigating moral distress and improving patient care.
