Download iCal FileSusan Dunn, PhD, RN, FAHA, FAAN, associate professor and head of the college’s Department of Biobehavioral Nursing Science, will present research on Heart Up!, a project aimed at increasing physical activity in patients who report hopelessness. Dunn has conducted research on hopelessness in patients with heart disease for over 13 years. Her published research, focused on hopelessness in patients with ischemic heart disease, has received several awards. She is currently the principal investigator of Heart Up!, a five-year, $2.4 million study funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research.
