Topic: Breast Cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa: Time to Raise the Stakes

Speakers:

  • Omolara Fatiregun, MD, clinical oncologist, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, will discuss real-time management of breast cancer in Africa.
  • Abiola Ibraheem, MD, assistant professor of clinical medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine, and core faculty, UIC Center for Global Health, University of Illinois College of Medicine, will discuss the benefits and challenges of breast cancer clinical trials in Nigeria.

The UIC Global Health Colloquium is sponsored by the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Applied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Social Work and the School of Public Health.

All UIC faculty, staff and students are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided.
