Target audience: APRN Students, APRNs, RNs, Nursing Educators, APPs

Learning outcomes: Attendees will:

  • apply the essential genetic content for an understanding of pharmacogenomics and implications for practice;
  • understand how genetic variants affect efficacy, clearance and drug half-life;
  • review classes of drug metabolizers and how knowledge of metabolizing phenotypes affects nursing practice;
  • recognize variable drug responses due to genetic attributes of the individual.

Continental breakfast at 8:15 a.m.

2.75 contact hours (2 hours pharmacotherapeutic contact hours) will be awarded based on attendance, pre and post tests, and completion of the evaluation form.
