UIC College of Nursing Alumni Reunion 2017
Nearly 100 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of UIC Nursing gathered on Sept. 9, 2017, for Alumni Reunion. The full day event kicked off with an engaging panel featuring alumni nurse leaders from Advocate, Lurie Children's Hospital, Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc., and Vi. After the panel discussion, alumni were invited to the Chicago Campus building's event center for a delicious catered lunch and certificate anniversary program.
In addition to milestone anniversary certificates for alumni who graduated in years ending in 2 and 7, golden and silver graduates--graduates of the class of 1967 and 1992--were presented with gold and silver medallions. The day concluded with the groundbreaking of the simulation laboratory, honoring alumna and donor M. Christine Schwartz's $5 million gift to UIC Nursing.
