UIC Nursing faculty, alum make 2021 ’40 under 40′ list

The Illinois Nurses Foundation recognized UIC Nursing faculty on its 2021 list of “40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leaders.”
Alumna and adjunct clinical instructor Terese Knake, DNP ’20 , BA, RN, and clinical assistant professor Jacqueline Wolak Shanks, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, are among four UIC-affiliated nurse leaders on the list of honorees.
In addition, Dorota Czernecki and Martha Kanthak, both nurses practicing at UI Health, made INF’s 2021 list.
Winners were chosen by a panel of their peers based on their achievement in the profession, their leadership, and their community- and association-involvement.
The class of 2021 will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 23, at the virtual 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader event.
