About
Amanda Bennett is a Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and also holds a post-Master’s certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has worked full-time as an NNP for nearly three decades in various NICUs throughout the Midwest. She has also worked in the neonatal follow-up clinic. Dr. Bennett has a special interest in neonatal IV therapy. Her DNP project titled “Be A Stickler and Stick Less” included the development of an evidenced-based clinical pathway to decrease the number of IV attempts in the NICU patient. Her work is ongoing in this area. She has served as a consultant and instructor for a specific PICC line manufacturer, teaching classes nationwide. Dr. Bennett enjoys mentoring new NNPs. She has been a clinical preceptor, has organized local conferences, and has presented at various national conferences. She belongs to NANNP, CAANN, SWANN, NAPNAP, AVA, INS, and NONPF.
