About
Dr. VanderZwan graduated with her BSN from the University of Iowa in 2002. After obtaining her MS from UIC in 2006, she has practiced as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) primarily in Cardiology and Hospital Medicine. She joined the College of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor in 2012 and completed her DNP in May 2017. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and works in the BSN and AGMS curriculums. Dr. Vanderzwan is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and an active member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH).
