About
Dr. Susan Krawczyk comes to UIC with a diverse combination of clinical practice, nurse anesthesia education, professional publications and professional advocacy. She has over 20 years of experience as an anesthesia provider in a variety of healthcare settings including a Level 1 trauma center, community hospitals, and ambulatory surgical centers - providing anesthesia as an independent provider as well as part of an anesthesia care team. She held a faculty position at NorthShore University HealthSystem School of Nurse Anesthesia for 20 years where she was responsible for clinical and didactic instruction throughout the curriculum, student advisement, and DNP project team member.
Dr. Krawczyk is a member of multiple national and state professional nursing organizations and is an active advocate for nurses and advanced practice nursing in Illinois. She was elected twice to the IANA Board of Directors and has served as the head of the IANA Public Relations Committee - responsible for member engagement. She was elected to the ISAPN Board of Directors as the CRNA representative.
