About
Chariz Montminy graduated with a BS in nursing in 2012 from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Nursing. She obtained her MSN with a concentration of Nurse Education from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Nursing in 2021. She is currently completing the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care DNP program. Chariz Montminy has primarily worked in critical care including neurosurgery, medical, and cardiac intensive care units. She started teaching nursing in 2021 at LSU School of Nursing and was a clinical instructor for the critical care and health assessment courses. She joined UIC College of Nursing in the fall of 2022, and she teaches in both the BS program and AGMS program. She is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) which demonstrates her expertise and commitment to excellence in nursing education. Her expertise focuses on care in the intensive care unit including hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiac support.
