About
Beth Phelps DNP, APRN-FNP, ACNP graduated with her BS degree in 1992 from OSF St. Francis College of Nursing. She worked in both Neurology and Cardiovascular ICU at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, Illinois and had eight years of nursing experience prior to enrolling in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at University of Illinois Chicago. She graduated in 2004 and has worked in emergency medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, otolaryngology, and prompt care settings. She continues to work full-time as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Springfield, Illinois. When the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing developed an online Doctorate in Nursing program it afforded Dr. Phelps with the opportunity to complete her DNP in 2014. Dr. Phelps joined the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing at Springfield in 2018 and is working in the Acute Care Adult Gerontology Program.
