About
I have been a Clinical Assistant Professor since 2004. Currently I teach in the Health Systems Leadership Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have extensive non-profit and health care experience that includes more than 20 years of experience in quality, safety, executive leadership, operations analysis and redesign, consulting, project management, and clinical operations. During 1997-2001, I served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO), a statewide organization and an innovative leader in quality improvement, medical review, and education services. Previously I held key management positions at the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Regional Organ Bank of Illinois, in acute care hospitals, and in the private sector of the health care industry. I have expertise in working with leaders, clinicians, staff and Boards in identifying priorities for improvement and safety, project management and extensive data collection and analysis, all focused on the goal of building, managing, and sustaining financially sound and operationally viable integrated systems
