Staff Nurses, APRNs and other healthcare professionals
Objectives:
- Describe reasons for using common strict literature search criteria by nurses and nursing students
- identify negative impacts of strict literature search criteria on participation in evidence-based practice and research
- Discuss the myth of the 5-year rule as a gold standard
UI Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing- professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. 1.0 Continuing Nursing Education contact hour will be awarded to the participant who attends the entire activity and completes an evaluation.
