The purpose of this activity is to educate Professional Registered Nurses on Implicit Bias within the healthcare environment:
- Introduce implicit bias and how it relates to professional nurses
- Explain how implicit bias can impact health care and patient experiences
- Define other areas of bias that nurses can encounter while practicing
- Provide detailed information about how to deconstruct our own unconscious bias
