Post-DNP Certificate

DNP-prepared nurses can broaden their scope of practice by becoming certified in a new focus area. The UIC College of Nursing offers a certificate that will allow these nurse practitioners to qualify for national certification in one of the areas listed below.
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP
- Family NP
- Nurse-Midwifery
- Nurse-Midwifery / Women’s Health NP
- Pediatric NP-Acute Care
- Pediatric NP-Primary Care
- Psychiatric-Mental Health NP
- Women’s Health NP
All programs are offered in a hybrid format consisting of online, on-site and blended courses.
Applications accepted August through March.
Tuition
Tuition is based on UIC professional program tuition. Professional program base tuition and fees are set by the university. Detailed tuition information can be found at the website of the UIC Office of the Registrar. (Note: The rates found on this site are for the Chicago campus only and students on other campuses may have variances in rates. Consult the director at your preferred campus for additional details.) Certificates are not considered “degree-seeking” and therefore financial aid will not be available.
